Christian Paul.

Christian Paul, an Australian designed and owned brand by watch lover Timothy Vincent Caruana has stolen my heart over the past few months. Inspired by his inheritance of his father's timepieces combined with his entrepreneurial experience, Christian Paul was born. In keeping with the family history and sentimental nature the brand was named after Caruana's son. As a romantic at heart I will always have a soft spot for brands that have a poetic or sentimental history behind them and with that and the marble design of his pieces, I have been in love from the start. These watches are being flaunted everywhere over Instagram at the moment, furthering the international appreciation for his designs. Not only can you purchase Christian Paul watches in stores in Australia but there is FREE international shipping on their website.

The watch band itself is made from quality black Italian leather held within a beautiful long black case to store it in. The marble design on the watch face is gorgeous and very on trend. I simply can't get enough of marble right now. The black on black design is something a little bit different, with the contrasting white hands and index making it the perfect black and white piece for lovers of minimalistic and classic style accessories combining both traditional and contemporary design.

Seek and Style.

Seek & Style is a lifestyle concept store launched in May 2015 by stay-at-home mum Georgia from Adelaide, Australia. Seek and Style is all about minimalistic, modern Scandinavian designs that I cannot get enough of. I have been aww-ing and ahh-ing at Scandinavian inspired homewares and interiors for about six months now and decided now was the time to start filling up my living space with some pieces. As you all know black and white styling, whether it be fashion or interiors, is my ~thing~ and this store certainly feeds my addiction. Not only is the store filled with beautiful products but the owner Georgia is incredibly helpful and friendly. I was so excited to receive these pieces and fuel my monochromatic, grid obsession. If you're into modern, Scandinavian inspired homewares this is a definite must-have. Check it out at and their Instagram

Au Revoir Les Filles

I was lucky enough to receive one of the most beautiful pieces of jewellery I have ever laid eyes upon and then interview designer Teresa from jewellery store Au Revoir Les Filles for you all. Launched in 2014 by Paris trained designer Teresa Tiong the label is all about creating poetic keepsakes that draw upon a sense of love, longing and melancholy. When I initially glanced upon their website the word poetic was actually one of the first to enter my mind with their delicate yet sturdy designs emanating a sense of love, care and nostalgia. It's very easy to see through her designs that Teresa has a passion and an eye for designing jewellery. These designs come from a place of love and what also truly struck me, a place of originality and style. I am a sucker for jewellery that reminds me of a moment in time or a person of importance. All the pieces of jewellery I have worn regularly have had a sense of emotional purpose, whether it be a reminder of what I have achieved and what I want to achieve in the future, a nostalgic memory of a moment passed or a person that has had significant meaning in my life. I can imagine myself purchasing Au Revour Les Filles jewels as a gift or memoir for someone who has had great importance in my life and there's something to be said of that. I have always, from a young age, been drawn to creations whether it be jewellery, art, photography or music that allows my mind to wander and create a narrative and this piece certainly doesn't fall short of that. There's something very mystical and beautiful about Teresa's designs that I knew I had to share it with you all.

A Quick Interview With Teresa From Au Revoir Les Filles

How would you describe ARLF style?

Au Revoir Les Filles is about love in its many forms and guises, from passion to jealousy to lost and longing. It is inspired by the darkness that treads alongside the beautiful, and how every jewellery tells a story.

What are you inspirations for your design?

Meaning "the storm" in French, L'Orage was inspired by the myth and mystery of early marine exploration from tales of sunken cities to shipwrecks and monsters of the deep.
I was drawn to the dark beauty of phantom crystals and the story they tell. Each crystal captures shadowy ghost-like apparitions within its faceted structure, like lost souls trapped within. I love playing with the dichotomy of light and dark, highlighted by the contrast of the gunmetal chain against a bright silver ring. I love jewellery that fits into one another, and designed this piece to be worn as a statement ring or a necklace. All the crystals are naturally grown, unique in appearance and might include cluster mutations, but I feel that imperfection is what makes every piece beautiful.

How did you start designing jewellery?

Having jewellery passed down from my grandmother and mother inspired me to create my own. I'm struck by how timeless jewellery is, and the lovely patina that develops on it with age. I'm often inspired by a memory or artwork, and start to collect images to build a creative universe around the collection. There can be so many artistic concepts that inspire a collection, and its good to edit down to see what flows together and create something original. I like to wear a lot of jewellery when designing, it helps me gauge 3-dimensional perspective and make sure the design is practical as well as beautiful. Then from a sketch, I'll get a prototype made and refine the design from there. Sometimes I'm lucky and the design is perfect from the get-go, but some designs can take a few protos to get right, but I guess it's the journey that counts.

Swedish label Rodebjer now available at Funkis!

The beautiful Swedish label Rodebjer is a contemporary fashion brand that is known for its extraordinary signature silhouettes that can move from day to night in luxury. I was lucky enough to be able to pick up this exquisite coat from the new Rodebjer range that is now available in all Funkis stores around Australia. As some of you may already know, Funkis is a Swedish/Australian brand located in Paddington and The Strand Arcade in Sydney, with their first store in Victoria recently opening in the Melbourne Strand Arcade. Funkis prides itself on Swedish and Scandinavian designs, which are very on trend at the moment. I'm a big lover of their shoes, knits and glasses. This coat is everything I wanted in a piece of outerwear because it can be easily taken from day to night, work to play, casual to formal and the high neck collar and tie waist makes you feel a million bucks. I love the longer length of the coat, it's something i've been seeing a lot of lately and knew I needed to pick one up for myself. There's something so easy yet put-together about a beautiful black coat, you can chuck it on over a striped t-shirt and jeans to make a casual yet classy day-time outfit or put it on over a red dress and some red lipstick for a dinner out in style. I can't get enough of it.

Up and coming collaborations and exciting new adventures!

Hello all. Have been out of action for a little while after taking a tumble off a ladder and being left on crutches. I always thought they'd be fun as a child.. boy was I wrong! I've been really excited to talk to you all about my up and coming posts. Fashion styling has always been my love, as has photography and styling and with these passions has grown a new one, styling interiors! I have come to find great enjoyment out of combining my love of fashion, cooking, styling interiors and makeup and have decided to expand this blog to explore that side of my interests. I will continue to post my fashion styling and favourite stores but I am also excited to announce that I will be collaborating with some incredible homeware and accessory companies, which will include phone cases, notebooks, cushions, rugs, laptop cases, vases and other items that are predominately black and white (lots of exciting marble and grid patterns are coming!). I only ever post about products I would happily splurge my last few dollars on (naughty but it's happened) so i'm really thrilled to share with you products that I absolutely love and know you will most likely fall in love with too. If there's anything in particular you would like to see, please let me know. In two weeks I will begin my Masters in Digital Communications majoring in social marketing and I cant wait to see how this helps me further my adventures in Social Media and Blogging. Feeling super inspired right now!
