ColourPop Eyeshadows

Note: Not a sponsored post, I just genuinely love this product!

I was so thrilled to get my parcel of ColourPop eyeshadows in the mail recently. I have only heard great things about them and had to give them a try. Firstly, I have to comment on the pigmentation. It is INCREDIBLE. You can lightly dip your finger into the eyeshadows (they are a wonderful powder yet somewhat squishy formula) and the payoff is spectacular. ColourPop recommends you apply these eyeshadows with your finger, which I was admittedly a little unsure about, but I was pleased to see how wonderfully they applied onto the eyelid and how easily they blended into each other. I don't have a bad thing to say about these eyeshadows and they are definitely going to be a staple of mine from now on. For only $5 a shadow you can't really go wrong with these babies. I'm sure i'll start to build up a large collection in no time.

Shelley and Johnny's Wedding.

On Saturday my old housemate Shelley and her wonderful fiance Johnny got married. It was such an incredible day with both tears and laughter to be had and many cupcakes to be eaten. I decided to go quite simple in a dark grey shift dress and black heels. I threw on a sparkly silver necklace and took a black suede clutch to accessorise. I had such an incredible day with these people and the days that followed. Definitely something i'll remember for a long time.

Unknown Pleasures

Hi everyone. Hope you've all been well. Threw on this outfit yesterday for a bit of a city adventure as we were finalising our outfits for a friend's wedding. It's so strange that my friends are starting to get married (in fact there's five now) but I certainly love any excuse to dress up and celebrate a happy relationship. I'll be sure to make a post on what I wear to the wedding which is on later this week.

ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie Stix Review

Note: This is not sponsored, I just really, really like this company and want to share it with you all x

Recently I stumbled upon the Southern Californian cosmetics company ColourPop and was SERIOUSLY impressed. So much so I had to share it with you guys. Not only are their prices phenomenal ($5 for everything?!) but they don't test on animals, send you an adorable handwritten note with your parcel and have such an incredible range of shades to choose from. The company stocks a wide range of eyeshadows, lip liners and lipsticks. As a total lipstick fiend I had to get my hands on their popular 'Lippie Stix' and give them a go. Boy, was I glad I did.

Their products come in relatively thin, long packaging, quite similar to that of the liquid lipsticks that are so popular right now but perhaps a bit longer. I love this because it makes the lipstick so easy to apply and very easy to store. The packaging itself is a beautiful white tube with the ColourPop logo written in holographic font. What's great is that you have a swatch and the name of your shade on the bottom of each lippie stick so you don't have to open them to know which shade you are using. This has come in handy for me because I already have 4 shades and will definitely be purchasing a lot more.

The product itself is phenomenal. I picked up 4 matte shades because i'm a total sucker for matte lipsticks. As some of you may know, mattes are known to be incredibly drying for the lips but these bad boys? They're near moisturising. The product is creamy as hell which is great because they feel wonderful on your lips but they appear to be matte in finish. The pigmentation is what blew my mind the most. These lipsticks are so pigmented you will be questioning "how are these so good and only $5?!" I don't think i've stopped doing so since buying them. Their staying power is good and I find myself only having to do a small re-apply after meals. I will definitely be reaching for these over my more expensive lipsticks from MAC (dun dunn dunnn, I know. They're that flipping good.)

You'll probably already know i'm a sucker for deep reds and darker shades but I also picked myself up a gorgeous mauvey-rose colour because i've been finding myself exploring the exciting realm of nude shades. I definitely haven't been disappointed. In saying that, there are shades for every single skin tone and colours i'd never have imagined before. They have a gorgeous range of nudes, corals, reds, pinks, purples, dark reds, blacks and then you get into the more crazy pastels. They have everything you could ever want in a lipstick colour. Before I start sounding like I am about to pack up my things and ship myself off to ColourPop headquarters to bask in the goodness that is their lipstick range forever I will finish this review off here. Give their shades a go and let me know what you think. I'd love to see how they look on you!
